My work lies at the intersection of ecology, environmental science, and geospatial data science, with a focus on GIS, remote sensing, spatial analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning. As an open and reproducible science advocate I work with tools such as R, Python, QGIS, and GDAL to solve spatial problems involving climate, wildfire, vegetation, land cover, biodiversity, and human–environment interactions.
I have five years of professional experience working with geospatial data at İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. I am currently a PhD student in Ecology at Hacettepe University, where my research focuses on fire ecology, ecological modelling, and biogeography, with a strong spatial and spatio-temporal focus.
